The World Congress is arranged so the fanciers of the Tibetan Terrier shall have a chance to get together - togetherness - to get to know each others and exchange information and knowledge.
Therefore are the breaks when people can meet and talk essential.

Previous World Congresses

1989 Denmark
The first World Congress was held the 17th of June 1989 in Copenhagen, Denmark
The subject that was discussed was the new FCI-standard and the need of having an international list over cases of lensluxation and PRA. The TIIS-list was decided to be done.
1991 Germany
The discussion over the standard continued and photos from Thibet was shown.
1993 England

*Several of the countries displayed posters graphically evidencing their health activities.
* The TIIS-list covering Lens Luxation and PRA is to be posted on the Internet.  A procedure for removal of a dog from this list upon presentation of certification from a qualified professional was approved.
* The TTCA, with the approval of the artist Linda Nagao, offered the World Congress the use of the 8th World Congress logo as a permanent logo for future World Congresses
* After a spirited discussion of the height standard currently applicable in the UK and Europe, it was decided that it would be more appropriate to vote in Europe at the next World Congress in Germany on the issue of whether or not World Congress participants are in favor of reverting to the language of the 1934 standard.
